The Microsoft Innovation Center in Kuwait is a product of partnership between the National Technology Enterprises Company (NTEC) and Microsoft, based on a memorandum of understanding signed in November 2006.

Microsoft Innovation Centers (MIC) represent facilities for collaboration on innovative research, technology or software solutions, involving a combination of government, academic and industry participants. These centers provide a consistent and comprehensive set of programs and consulting services with the goal of fostering innovation in the local software economy.

The global network of over 100 centers worldwide offers students, professional developers, architects, IT professionals, and researchers access to world-class facilities, consultants, and resources.

Kuwait 's Microsoft Innovation Center program offerings are grouped into the following three areas that are key to the growth of the local software economy: Skills and Intellectual Capital, Industry Partnerships, and Innovation.
